Statement on the use of Generative AI

This policy regulates the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies during the research, authoring, peer review, and editorial phases of papers submitted to IJTRET. It seeks to maintain academic integrity, guarantee openness, and encourage moral behavior in academic writing and communication.

International ethical standards, such as those set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), are in line with IJTRET's editorial practices.

IJTRET mandates complete transparency about the use of Generative AI (GenAI) tools in research and paper preparation in compliance with these criteria.

GenAI cannot take the place of human intellectual contributions, but it can be utilized for small publishing chores like language editing and data visualization.

GenAI tools cannot be given credit as authors for papers submitted to IJTRET, as they do not meet the criteria for authorship—which include significant intellectual contribution, active involvement in drafting or revising the work, and accountability for the content.

Even when AI techniques are used, authors are still entirely accountable for the accuracy, uniqueness, and ethical compliance of their submissions

Every piece of work must adhere to strict guidelines for originality, scientific rigor, correct attribution, and academic integrity. Peer review must continue to be a human-led procedure.

AI technologies can help in a number of ways, but they shouldn't take the position of the reviewer's knowledge, discretion, and accountability.

To stay up to current with developments in AI and academic writing, these guidelines will be periodically reviewed and revised to reflect changing best practices.

Disclosure Statement:All authors must provide a clear disclosure statement regarding the use of GenAI if they used it in writing the paper. The statement should include the name(s) of the tool(s) used; specific tasks where the tool was applied (e.g., language editing, visualization).

Example Disclosure Statement:

During the preparation of this work the author(s) used [NAME TOOL / SERVICE] in order to [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the publication.

This declaration does not apply to the use of basic tools for checking grammar, spelling, references, etc. If there is nothing to disclose, there is no need to add a statement.
