International Journal of Trendy Research in Engineering and technology(IJTRET) is committed to meeting high standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. IJTERT follows strict Code of Conduct and aims to adhere its Best Practice Guidelines of COPE( Committee on Publication Ethics).
IJTRET is published bimonthly with open access policy for all the published papers. IJTRET publishes original research papers, survey papers, case studies and academic or scholarly articles. IJTRET welcomes high quality work that focuses on research, development and application in the broad areas of engineering, science and technology.
Decision on the Publication of Articles: The editors of IJTRET are responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. Manuscripts shall be evaluated solely on their intellectual merit. The editor will evaluate manuscripts without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. The editors should also consider current legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism while making a decision. The decision will be based on the paper’s importance, originality and clarity, and the study’s validity and its relevance to the journal's scope. Even in cases where peer reviews are positive, the editors may decline to publish the paper or provide the author with further comments on how to modify the article. Should the final version not convince the editors, its publication may still be rejected. The final decision about the publication lies with the editors.
Confidentiality: The editors and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.
Disclosure and conflict of interest : Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the papers.
Reviewer Roles and Responsibilities
Peer review assists the editor and the editorial board in making editorial decisions and it may also serve the author in improving the paper.
Qualified reviewers and promptness:Only the qualified reviewers should be selected to review a manuscript. Any reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or unable to provide a prompt review should notify the editors and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor. Important information or ideas obtained through peer review process must be kept confidential and not to be revealed to others for any reason.
Standards of Objectivity:Reviews should be conducted impartially and objectively. There shall be no personal criticism of the author. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement or observation derived from other published report should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should notify chief editor any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
Editors and reviewers have no access to author payment information. Waiver status will not influence their editorial decision.
Author Responsibilities
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors should submit their entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others this must be appropriately cited or quoted.
Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication : An author should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal for publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal and attempting to publish concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Manuscripts which have been published as copyrighted material elsewhere cannot be submitted.
In addition, manuscripts under review by the journal should not be resubmitted to copyrighted publications.
Authorship of the Paper:Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study, and should be listed as co-authors. Others, who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
The corresponding authorwill handle all correspondence about the article and sign the publishing agreement on behalf of all the authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all the authors’ contact details are correct. The corresponding author ensures that all contributing co-authors and no uninvolved persons are included in the author list. The corresponding author will also verify that all co-authors have approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
Acknowledgement of Sources:Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Sources of funding for the research reported in the article should be duly acknowledged at the end of the article Individuals who do not meet the requirements for authorship but who have provided a valuable contribution to the work should be acknowledged for their contributing role as appropriate to the publication.
Fundamental errors in published works :When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and to cooperate with the editor to Retract or correct the paper in form of an erratum
Reporting standards :Authors of original research reports should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Data access and retention: Authors could be asked to provide the raw data of their study together with the paper for editorial review and should be prepared to make the data publicly available if practicable. In any event, authors should ensure accessibility of such data to other competent professionals for at least ten years after publication (preferably via an institutional or subject-based data repository or other data center), provided that the confidentiality of the participants can be protected and legal rights concerning proprietary data do not preclude their release.
Assistance with experiments and data analysis: Any significant contribution to work reported should be appropriately credited according to our authorship criteria. If any parts of the work have been outsourced to professional laboratories or data analysts, this should be clearly stated within the manuscript with an explanation of their role, or they should be included in the author list if appropriate. Authors are responsible for retaining all of the original data related to their work, and should be prepared to share it with the journal editorial office if requested

Editors and editorial team members are excluded from publication decisions when they are authors or have contributed to a manuscript.

Author name changes after publication
In cases where authors wish to change their name following publication, IJTRET will update and republish the paper and redeliver the updated metadata to indexing services. Authors should contact the journal’s Editorial Office with their name change request.
